Operation Joshua

March 27-29

  • Location:  Lake Swan Camp
  • Sign up:  www.bragonjesus.org/operationjoshua
  • Transportation:  Buses will leave Friday from the Deltona Campus (time typically around 4-4:30 pm).  Should there be a desire to be picked up at the Deland campus please email OperationJoshua@turkwa.com
  • Type of lodging:  tent camping or shared cabin rooms
  • Should I bring my sons under age 10:  if you're a dad and you think your son is mature enough to follow then bring them.  In the past some younger kids had difficulty engaging.  The focus is on men from 10 to 100, but use your own judgement.
  • Difference in 2020:  instead of a shared group learning experience, the majority of sessions will be focused on life skills.  Three or four sessions will be provided on the following:
  1. Renewing the spark.  Change spark plugs.
  2. A Carpenter and his tools:  How we are tools in order to do God's will
  3. How to survive the first 24 hours in the wild by going through a 24 minute class
  4. Fishermen of Jesus.  Clinic on fresh and salt-water fishing
  5. Cast your net.  Preparing a pan-seared fish
  6. Marriage on the Rock
  7. How to Manage your team
  8. Manning the Watchtower:  Self defense and personal health
  9. Steering, guiding, direction.  Canoeing
  •   How do I know what session(s) I will attend? Based on factors including how quickly you sign up and your choices on the signup sheet at bragonjesus.org, you will be assigned to sessions at certain times.
  • What if I want to be with a certain person?  While special circumstances may dictate certain people stay together or are separated, this weekend should be about men learning from and encouraging one another.  One fruit of Operation Joshua is seeing men form new friendships and brothers in Christ.
